A really good example of the modern American style: the flowers are beautifully ruffled but not so much so as to cause the plant problems when the weather is wet or inclement. The colour is exceptionally lovely - violet blue falls flushed paler around the edges, and standards a crisp white tinged with yellow. Unsurprisingly it has won many prizes, including in Florence.
